Vision and Mission
SES REC Activities

MGNCRE, GoI certified Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore has established Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhta & Rural Engagement Cell (SES REC) Institution under Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education Government of India effective from 29 Aug 2020.

Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, in Government of India strives to promote resilient rural India through Higher Education interventions. MGNCRE designs, develops and promotes curriculum inputs for higher education programmes offered by Universities and Autonomous Institutions in India.

The five main themes are as under:

  • Sanitation and Hygiene
  • Waste Management
  • Water Management
  • Energy Management and
  • Greenery
VISION

To involve higher education curriculum in India in the process of building resilient rural India i.e., Uthkrisht Gram for Unaat Bharat

MISSION

Formulate and recognise curricular inputs and accredit courses and higher educational institutions, which enable development of sustainable, climate and disaster resilient rural livelihoods

AIPER celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2022. MGNCRE, Dept of Higher Education has suggested various activities to celebrate the same. Our institute selected one activity i.e. “Our green decision- Showcase your campus video”. In which we prepared one video of our institute's greenery including a medicinal garden. In the whole day, around 50 students and 09 faculties along with institutes Principal have attended the event and faculty members given the benefits of greenery and medicinal plants along with their importance in our health. All students enjoyed the whole day.

AIPER, Indore organized an online SESREC Workshop on 15th February 2021. Mr. B Sharath Chandra Naveen Kumar, Chief Program Coordinator SAP Action Plan 2020 MGNCRE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India was invited as a resource person for the same. He motivated the attendees for social entrepreneurship which is beneficial for rural engagement and provides job opportunities to the local residents. He gave examples of many small-scale start-ups and suggested the attendees try some small scale start-ups with small investment. He appreciated the work done by students of AIPER.

As a part of the Beat Covid Campaign initiative of MGNCRE, AIPER provided volunteer assistance to COVID affected families in the areas of Hospital Management, Non-Hospital Management, Medical Supplies, Psychosocial Support to COVID affected families. A report of the same was prepared and submitted by MGNCRE.

  6. Communicating with COVID Patient: Ms. Urvashi Chhajed& Ms. Shraddha Mahajan 

 

  • The Idea Generation Competition was organized by SES REC Cell on various themes like sanitation & hygiene, waste management, water management, energy conservation and greenery on the occasion of World Environment Day.
  • SES REC members have attended online webinar on Guidance for "Psychological counseling and COVID helper skills" organized by MGNCRE, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India and also submitted feedback.
  • SES REC of Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research organized a Poster and slogan writing competition on the occasion of World Water Day. The competitions were organized with the objective to spread among the students the awareness and importance of conservation of water and the repercussions which one would have to face if there would be scarcity of water. 
  • Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India organized a cluster level competition under SESREC.Four students from Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical education and Research, Indore have participated in the competition and presented their business idea.
