National Service Scheme (NSS) was launched during 1969, the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, in 37 universities involving 40000 students. NSS is an extension dimension to the higher education system to orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institutions.

Why NSS is important

Volunteering for various tasks under NSS activities allows students to become confident, develop leadership skills, and learn about different people from different walks of life.



  • NSS AIPER volunteers attended Khelo India National Games on 31 Jan 2023 at Basketball Indore.
  • NSS AIPER volunteers perform nukkad natak at adopted village Sullakhedi on 25/02/23 on the occasion of Women Day. 
  • NSS Unit AIPER organized a 07 days residential camp from 13 March to 19 March at village Bhada Pipliya. Students Strictly follow the NSS day schedule for day activities. The day started with exercise & prayer sessions. Students prepared their own tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner. They perform their social duty during free time.

During this camp various activities were performed like cleaning programs, interaction with school students, health and hygiene sessions.  NSS volunteers performed Nukkad natak on various social issues like nasha mukti, child education, women empowerment which is highly appreciated by villagers. Cultural activities also performed by the NSS volunteers. Stationary kit were distributed among the primary and middle school students by Rotaract Acropharma Royals.

A free eye check up camp was also organized for the local residentials in association with ASG eye hospital. During this free eye check camp more than 100 villagers took advantage of the eye check camp. 

Director, AIPER Dr. G N Darwhekar Sir and NSS District Coordinator, DAVV Dr. Prakash Garhwal Sir also visited the camp site. They appreciated the enthusiasm of NSS volunteers towards the social services performed by them and motivated them. The camp was covered by a local news agency.

  • On 12 January 2022 Youth Day, a video conference attended by NSS team members and volunteers was honored by PM  Mr. Narendra Modi.
  • Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore celebrated World’s Science Day on 28  February 2022. On this occasion scientific nukkad and drama competitions were organized based on the theme of the day for the year ‘Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future”. The students of D. Pharm and B. Pharm participated actively and performed their act in a scientific way. They included many science related facts in the act.
  • Mr. Ravi Sharma and Ms. Shraddha Mahajan participated in installation ceremony of Rotaract Club of Acropharma on 15 March
  • NSS unit, AIPER organized the Mega blood donation camp on Wednesday, 30th March 2022 at AIPER campus, in association with M.Y. Hospital and Red ribbon club Indore. The students, faculty members and staff of AIPER, AITR, AIMSR and AFMR participated voluntarily in blood donation activity in order to help patients with health needs and reached a great number of 191 blood units donation.
  • NSS team participated in a video making competition on the occasion of World environment day on 5 June Mr. Anupam Mishra participated in a walk for awareness against tobacco on 31 May 2022. The walk started from Gandhi hall and ended at Rajwada, the refreshment provided to the students and also T shirt distribution completed.
  • NSS Unit, Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore celebrated 8th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2022. The session was started with the introduction, need and importance of Yoga in daily life. The theme for the year 2022 was “Yoga for Humanity”. Mr. Mahesh Mehta started the session with a brief introduction about Yoga and explained the benefits of each asana through-out the session.
  • NSS volunteers serving their duties at Health check up camp for Breast cancer and Cervical disorders organized by Rotary club Indore at Robert Nursing Home on 23 June 2022
  • Acropharma Royal received Gold medal for membership and was awarded as Best Rotaract Club of District 3040 on 26 June.
  • Director, Dr. G.N. Darwhekar and Mr. Ravi Sharma attended the “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan'' launching ceremony on 07.08.2022    at Rabindra Nathya Griha Auditorium 
  • NSS Unit, Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore celebrated “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” on the occasion of 75th Independence day.
  • NSS volunteers participated in Traffic awareness program 24/08/22 at central auditorium.
  • Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore celebrated NSS Day & World Pharmacist Day on 23 & 24 September 2022. On this occasion Poster making competition, Rangoli competition, Selfie Booth competition, Wall painting, Talent show, Nukkad & Food and fun were organized. Also an expert session organized by NSS and delivered by our Dr. Sachin Sharma, District Coordinator NSS, Indore. 
  • NSS unit, AIPER again organized the Mega blood donation camp on Tuesday, 27th September 2022 at AIPER campus, in association with M.Y. Hospital and Red ribbon club Indore and reached & recorded a great number of 225 blood units donation.
  • NSS unit, AIPER participated in Swachh Indore nukkad competition, and self-composed jingle competition organized by Nagar Nigam Indore (15/11/2022)
  • NSS volunteer Mr. Prakhar Bajpai, participated and won the State Level Quiz Competition organized by Red Ribbon Club.  
  • NSS unit, AIPER celebrated “World AIDS Day '' on 1st December 2022. NSS coordinators celebrated the day by distributing and tying the red ribbon. An awareness session was organized. The session was delivered by Ms. Rachna Sharma ICTC Counsellor, Govt. CHC Sanwer (Indore). 
  • NSS unit, AIPER received a certificate of appreciation for participating in "National AIDS Control Program". NACO recognizes and appreciates the work done and the contribution by NSS Unit AIPER towards society for spreading awareness and controlling AIDS. 
  • NSS unit, AIPER received a certificate of appreciation for participating in "AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN" on the occasion of World AIDS DAY. NSS Unit AIPER organized various AIDS awareness-related activities. 
  • NSS volunteer Ms. Saniya Patel participate (18.12.2022)and win District Level Bal Sanrakhsan Competition organized by DAVV & UNICEF
  • NSS volunteers attended the Rajat Sharma program organized by Dainik Bhaskar at ICAI Auditorium on 22/04/2023.
    • SESREC Workshop
    • NSS Unit AIPER organized an online SESREC Workshop on 15th February 2021. Mr. B Sharath Chandra Naveen Kumar, Chief Program Coordinator SAP Action Plan 2020 MGNCRE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India was invited as a resource person for the same. 
    • NSS Orientation Session

    NSS Unit, Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore organized an Orientation Session for NSS Volunteers in Post COVID Scenario. The session was planned for two days for different years of B. Pharm and M. Pharm. More than 100 volunteers attended the session. The session was delivered by all the faculty coordinators.

    •   International Yoga Day Celebration

    NSS Unit, Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Indore organized a virtual celebration of International Day of Yoga. The session started with a general introduction and the need of yoga in this situation of pandemic. The theme for 2021 was “Yoga for well being”. 

     NSS Awareness

    NSS Unit AIPER shared different posters and flyers through social media to spread awareness in the era of pandemic.  NSS unit also motivated for vaccination and shared a video regarding the same.  The NSS Unit also encouraged volunteers for social service during this period. 

    NSS Unit AIPER celebrated Plantation Day on 27th July 2021 in the college premises. All the faculty members planted in the premises. The aim behind the celebration is to make people aware of the importance of planting trees, as they have unconditionally provided food, oxygen, and many other necessities for human sustainability, such as shelter, medicines, tools, and many more.


    • NSS Day and Pharmacist Day.

    NSS Unit AIPER celebrated NSS Day and Pharmacist Day. In this event, NSS oath and pharmacist oath were taken by all the students and faculties.  AIPER celebrated the day by felicitating COVID WARRIORS including alumni and students who worked during the pandemic directly or indirectly in the field. Contribution of COVID Warriors includes working in the field for screening and admission of COVID patients, arrangements and availability of essential medicines and medical devices, admission in hospitals, food distribution etc.

    In this program various competitions were organized for students to showcase their talent in different areas; the activities included extempore, best out of waste (technical models), fancy dress and nukkad natak. Topics for extempore were chosen related to youths and society.


    • World’s Heart Day 

    NSS unit celebrated “World’s Heart Day’ in collaboration with Rotaract club of Acropharma Royals. 

    September 29 is celebrated as “World’s Heart Day’ that is intended to increase public awareness about cardiovascular disease, including their prevention and their global impact.

    On this occasion blood sugar level and other health parameters of faculty members, staff and students were checked by NSS volunteers.


    •     NSS unit presentation given by NSS Coordinator and student volunteer on the occasion of Induction program as Orientation session for the first year students.

    Students informed about the NSS aim, role & responsibility, organization, camp and other social activities. Students informed about the activities done previously such as:

    • Youth day celebration
    • Blood donation camp
    • Traffic awareness program
    • Seven days residential camp
    • Yoga day celebration
    • NSS online competitions
    • NSS webinar and training sessions 

    • NSS team participated in Nation level Nukkad Natak Competition organized by IISU Jaipur. The activity was online and a nukkad natak was prepared by NSS volunteers and sent to the organizer.

    • NSS Coordinator attended an Annual meeting on 20th December 2021, at Mahila Polytechnic College, Rajendra Nagar.
    • World’s AIDS Day

    The NSS unit of Acropolis Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research celebrated “World’s AIDS Day’ on 1 December. The theme for the year was ‘ Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice ”  

     NSS volunteers celebrated the day by distributing and tie the red ribbon. The  red ribbon  is the global symbol for solidarity with HIV-positive people and those living with AIDS. On this awareness event, students tie up the red ribbon to Principal sir and all the faculty members.
