Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our non-profit organization in San Francisco, California. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while utilizing your organizational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting daily operations and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors and residents. Responsibilities: - Review and verify resident applications for accuracy and completeness, and provide guided tours of available housing units when applicable. - Follow established procedures for processing eligible applications in compliance with program guidelines under the direction of the Resident Manager. - Collect and secure rent payments from residents who deliver them in person, adhering to established protocols. - Receive and process maintenance work orders from residents, input data into the Yardi system, and issue 24-hour notices to residents as needed. - Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area, managing a multi-line phone system to answer and direct calls efficiently. - Handle email correspondence and schedule appointments to support the administrative needs of the organization. - Organize and maintain files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible. - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. - Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by management. Requirements - High School Diploma is required; an Associate's Degree or Certificate in Administrative Services or Business Administration is preferred. - A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clerical or administrative role. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals. - Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. - Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities. - Experience with data entry, customer service, and operating a multi-line phone system is highly desirable.
