Position: PRODUCTION PLANNING

Location : COVINGTON, GA

 

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for optimizing the production process to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. collaborate closely with various departments including production, procurement, logistics, and management to develop and implement production plans that meet quality standards, deadlines, and cost objectives.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop Production Plans: Create detailed production schedules and plans based on customer orders, production capacity, and resource availability. Ensure alignment with overall production targets and company objectives.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with production teams, procurement staff, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower required for production activities.
  • Monitor Production Progress: Regularly monitor production progress against established schedules. Identify potential bottlenecks or delays and take proactive measures to address them to minimize disruptions to production timelines.
  • Optimize Production Efficiency: Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement. Implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in fabrication operations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal inventory turnover while minimizing excess inventory and associated carrying costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the production process. Implement measures to address quality issues and continuously improve product quality.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production schedules, inventory levels, and performance metrics. Generate reports and analysis to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance production processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency in the fab facility.

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent and proven personnel management skills
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

QUALITIFICATIONS:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using production planning software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies is a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0 to 10 years of experience in PCB Substrate field
  • Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
