Job Title: Administrative Assistant – Government Relations Team

Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite)

Industry: Government Relations / Professional Services

Pay: 75-80k

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Description:

This Administrative Assistant will support a high-performing Government Relations team by managing calendars, coordinating travel, and organizing meetings with key stakeholders. The role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, experience in high-volume scheduling, and a professional demeanor who can thrive in a high-touch, deadline-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex, high-volume scheduling and calendars for senior leadership
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings (Zoom, RSVPs, printed materials, catering, etc.)
  • Plan and execute domestic and international travel, including itineraries and briefing materials
  • Act as a liaison for internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring timely and professional communication
  • Maintain and update confidential contact databases and support relationship management
  • Prepare, format, and distribute materials for meetings and events
  • Provide additional administrative support to the team as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of administrative support experience
  • Prior experience in a political, legal, or professional services setting strongly preferred (Hill, DOJ, or Executive Branch a plus)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Zoom
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Experience handling confidential materials with discretion
  • Comfort working with senior-level professionals and adapting to traditional office preferences
