Overview:
GD Resources is seeking a qualified Catholic Music Director/Musician/Accompanist to support the Catholic community at McConnell Air Force Base. The contractor will provide musical accompaniment and leadership for Masses, rehearsals, and special events in coordination with the Catholic Priest and Wing Chaplain.
Key Duties:
Provide music and lead congregational singing for weekly Sunday Mass and other Catholic services.
Conduct weekly rehearsals and lead volunteer musicians and vocalists.
Coordinate music selections with the Catholic Priest at least four days before each service.
Support up to 52 weekly services, 52 rehearsals, and up to 18 special events per year.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to all services and rehearsals.
Maintain and organize musical materials and equipment.
Ensure professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability to schedule changes.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Catholic liturgical music.
Proficient in piano (organ experience preferred), sight-reading, and harmony.
Knowledge of Catholic teachings, liturgical traditions, and Missalettes.
Ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse religious backgrounds.
Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization required.
Period of Performance:
Start Date: October 1, 2025
End Date: September 30, 2030 (Base year with 4 option years)
