INDUSTRIAL VISIT FOR B.PHARM THIRD YEAR STUDENTS IN ZYG PHARMA PVT LTD.,PITHAMPUR, (DHAR), FEB 2013

Industrial visitOn 22/02/2013 at 10 a.m.  B.Pharma VI semester students (35) reached Pithampur for industrial visit.  Mr. Manish Bhargava (General Manager) and their team welcomed the students. GM sir introduced about ZYG Pharma Pvt. Ltd. Located in industrial area sector-3 Pithampur, (Dhar). It is a part of Encore Group of companies, having successful operations in India for the last 50 years. Encore Group is owned and promoted by the Merchant family. The unit started in 1996. Both units are GMPs and ISO 14001, TGA and unit II is USFDA approved recently. He told about ointment, cream, gel, solution and lotions. Both units cater to various multinational companies in India for their domestic and international requirements. These units also manufacture their own renowned formulations to cater to the Global Export Market requirements. Their global presence like Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Philippines, Ethiopia, Malaysia, Trinidad, Vietnam, Kenya, Zambia, Hongkong, Ghana, Myanmar, Suriname,  Costa Rica, USA, Uganda, Australia supply dermal and other products. Students went to canteen for tea. After that moves in various departments in unit I like Engineering department, HVAC system, water treatment plant, Ultra-Filtration section, Effluent treatment plant, Store and Ware house, Quality control department, QA and R&D section, Production and Packaging area and finally moved in unit II.  The visit was fantastic and at each steps the company members replenished the knowledge of students. It was an informative, interesting and a successful visit. At the end of visit on behalf of Principal of Pharmacy College and HOD, Pharmaceutical sciences, in-charge Prof Mukul Sharma expressed heartfelt thank to ZYG Pharma management team for their kind cooperation and providing opportunity to gain the knowledge about industrial exposure which has definitely enhanced students to achieve their occupational interest. Their contributions were greatly acknowledged.
